It has been at least five months since we last saw each other (way too long).
I'm thrilled. Absolutely thrilled.
She is the type of girl who does unexpected things, loves the Lord with her whole heart, and is generally just a ton of fun to be around.
A kindred spirit. A bosom friend. And not too girly either... (haha).
God certainly has a way of bringing people together. When I served at Youth Haven Ranch a couple years back, she was the only other girl my age... and thus, we got to be fast friends.
Not only is she fun, but she inspires me in my walk and obedience to God (the best thing about friends).
With her:
- I tried to climb a rather large tree for the first time (emphasis on the tried)
- Ate an apple with a worm lurking deep on the other side, which I knocked out of a tree
- Walked along the train-tracks and waved to conductors
- And (dare I say it), played Halo (she beat me hopelessly).
I'm the wimpish one... and well, lets just say, she's not. We're two of a kind (that's for sure).
It would not be exaggerating in the slightest to say, she practically glows of God's exuberant love.
Anyway, I am just chronicling my absolute elation for the fact that I get to spend my weekend catching-up with such a dear, sweet, sister in Christ.
Thanks for being there, Jo!
