First off, Stephanie, Carissa and I went over to Gracie's to get ready for the big night — make-up, hair, and dresses. Yes, I know. I have gorgeous friends; they're chic.
After primping for a few hours (it's a little embarrassing; I won't disclose exactly how long), we went outside and posed for pictures.
Personally, I don't really like getting my picture taken in the spring time... just because, after a while, my eyes water. Once my eyes are watering, everything else goes down-hill. My nose started to turn a little red and my eyes got a little more puffy than normal. I hate allergies.
However, we managed to get some very cute pictures.
Then, we drove over to the riverboat. Everything was wonderful. The friends, food, and dancing were incredible. I'm serious, I made more than a few of those sweet childhood memories we talk about - it was great.
The boat sailed; we took this as our cue to start eating dinner.
I'd like to take a moment's pause and talk about the food. It was ridiculously delicious (maybe I was just starving?). Ribs (I was proud of the fact that I didn't get any on my dress), BBQ chicken, cornbread (my weakness), green beans, baked beans, and salad were on the menu... Figuratively speaking, I was in heaven. I wanted to have seconds just because of how good it all was. Well, I loaded my plate so full the first time, that, upon thinking it through, I decided against getting seconds and abandoned my gluttonous ways — it's a good thing, too. I probably would have burst.
Once it got dark, the strobe lights came on and dazzled us all. Our dance instructor, the illustrious Mrs. Johnsen, proceeded to teach us several types of dancing (swing, waltz, two step, and cha cha). That was extremely fun.
The dancing was a ton better this year. Actually, I feel like this was the best Prim, thus far. Even the music was good (I am still surprised nobody got busted for it).
Also, I danced with a girl only once this time! It was amazing. I applaud our guys this year — they really took initiative and came through for us (last year was pretty pathetic).
If you'd like to hear some of my hilariously awkward dance stories, I would be glad to indulge. However, for the sake of this post, I will just stick to the bare-bones.
The YMCA was fun. We rollerbladed (I raced and came in second place... and then couldn't stop myself and wrecked. That hurt), played volleyball (my team won the tournament. I also dove without kneepads so much that my knees are now almost an entirely new shade of dark purple), we ate subs at 12:00 am and pizza at 3:00 am. Once all the activities started to settle down, we watched College Road Trip, and talked. We also did our part and cleaned-up after ourselves at around 5:50 in the morning. Whew!
Then, my dad picked me up at 6:00am and I went home. Since I fell asleep at 7:00 am, a whole flock of birds were already awake and chirping. Loudly.
I woke up at 9:45am.
Yes, I am still very tired, but it was totally worth every minute — what a blast!
I am so thankful for Teen Works, all of the chaperones, and my friends.
Student Council: I give us all a huge gold star. I couldn't have asked for a better night/morning!
Shoot! I know that I had to leave a lot out... but if you'd like to hear more, you can always comment.
Stephanie, Christine, Carissa, and Gracie.
I love silly pictures; we didn't get very many -- it was cold.

Summer, Carissa, Stephanie, Gracie, Matthew, Amanda, Isaac, Jacob, Katherine, and Christine.

Good times with good friends.
4:45am at the YMCA.
Volleyball. Fun stuff.
I would put more pictures up, but it just takes so darn long... and I don't feel like it. Yes, lame. I know.

haha oh man. Nice picture on the side of the boat! Luke, Gracie, and I were up enjoying the Seattle weather at that point... oh boy. Skirts flying and all. :P
SUCH a good time.
Jacob- Thanks; It was fun. However, certain people skipped out and made it slightly less fun... just sayin' =P
Stephanie- I agree. Such a great time!
It was so windy though... oh, my. Not exactly ideal conditions for wearing a dress. ;]
