Matthew

This is the sibling closest in age to me.

Not many guys would stay-up late with a sister, watching her favorite movie. But my brother did.
I happen to know that he only suffered through it to spend time with me. Anne of Green Gables is hardly a masculine movie - there are no guns (I don't count the third one), and there is no real action.

To be honest, I hadn't really noticed how he's grown-up in the last few months.
How much taller he is. How much older his voice sounds. How handsome he has become.

Tonight I realized it all. In a startling moment, the childhood we shared flashed before my eyes. And suddenly, I was wondering who the heck this guy was standing in front of me.
What happened to the little kid I used to play pretend with?

While I was helping him get ready tonight, we stood side-by-side. Something in the mirror caught my attention. Is he really an inch taller than me? Shoot! I knew this day would come...

I love his big heart, mischievous eyes, and quirky sense of humor. And even though I give him a hard time, I really do love the kid. Really. A lot.

*Yes, I took the above picture.

I don't think I've ever commented on here before, but why not!!
This is incredibly sweet; reminds me of how I feel about my older brother. How did they grow up so fast?

I also think your heart for missions is awesome! I'm in love with Guyana, South America : )
